Our Taster Days are designed for those looking to start their career as a Dog Groomer. No experience is necessary.

This day has been carefully planned to give our students an insight into the world of dog grooming. You'll see how our salons operate and learn some of the fundamental principles of grooming as well as getting stuck in to your first bit of practical training!

If you aren't sure if Dog Grooming is right for you then this is your chance to find out without pressure or commitment. Once you discover that you love it - We can guide you on which our our courses might be right for you.

THE FIRST STEP ON YOUR GROOMING JOURNEY

  • SPEND THE DAY IN OUR SALON

    Your chance to spend a day in a commercial grooming salon without commitment. Decide if it's time to turn your passion into your career!

  • GET HANDS ON

    We'll give a bathing demonstration and show you how best to dry their coat. You'll get your first opportunity to get involved with a dog's groom.

  • LEARN HOW TO HEALTH CHECK

    We'll show you how we Health Check each dog in our care and complete a Style Plan for their groom.

  • ALL KIT PROVIDED

    We'll provide a protective apron, full grooming kit and all the learning resources you'll need. Just bring yourself and your passion for dogs!

  • SAFETY FOCUS

    Learn about all the considerations made in a top-notch salon to keep you and your doggy customers safe and comfortable

  • GET TAILORED ADVICE

    Your chance to speak with our team and get great advice on the next steps of your grooming journey

    Because we know humans love snacks too! We're also extremely likely to pop the kettle on if you fancy a brew.

    We get that learning to grooms dogs can feel quite intimidating so we make sure everyone that joins us feels comfortable throughout the day.

Our Groom School Taster Days run in all three of our Groom Schools. We have schools in Matlock, Duffield and Etwall so are perfectly positioned for students across Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
